The 15th annual conference of ATP (Association of Test Publishers) was held in Scottsdale, AZ, USA in early March. ATA, a member of ATP and the founding member of A-ATP (Asia Association of Test Publishers) was invited to the grand conference.
The 2014 Innovations in Testing Conference attracted world’s leading testing and assessment companies and institutions, psychometric experts, and applications managers from education, vocational qualification and certification, industry and commercial testing, HR assessment, hygiene and medical, public service, etc; and over 800 attendees including test sponsors, test administrators and program managers, testing technology and delivery service providers, test developers, psychological assessment research institutes from education, finance, IT, medical, logistics, science and high-technology, etc.
The chairman and CEO of ATP personally welcomed ATA who is a member of ATP and the largest professional testing service provider in China. On March 4th, a round-table meeting was set up for the ATA delegation with participation from senior management of international well-known peer organizations including ACT, UCLES, PSI, CITO, College Board and ProExam.
Mr. Cheng-Yaw Sun, CEO of ATA, shared his opinions about the current status and trends of the Chinese testing and assessment market, as well as the strategic development objectives of ATA 2.0. Mr. Sun said: “ATP has been focusing on the innovations in testing and assessment. In the future, Asia will be the major force and ATA, as the largest testing and assessment service provider, will play a significant role in promoting the development of testing and assessment technologies.”
At the conference, Alex Tong, VP of ATA, gave a presentation titled Innovation Showcase: Mobile Testing System-Make Testing Simpler which drew a large number of attendees who showed great interest in the Chinese testing industry and ATA’s new products, technologies and services.
