Date: 08/03/2009

On March 7, 2009, the computer-based licensure examination for Certified International Investment Analyst sponsored by Securities Association of China was launched in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. The examination was the first time since it was transformed to computer-based testing in China using ATA technologies. About 200 candidates participated in the exam.

Certified International Investment Analyst CIIA® is an internationally recognized advanced professional qualification for individuals working in the finance and investment industry under the Association of Certified International Investment Analyst (ACIIA). In 2001, Securities Association of China joined the ACIIA and the paper-based CIIA examination was first introduced to China in 2006.

In order to turn the CIIA examination into part of the portfolio of China securities professional examinations, the Securities Association of China worked in collaboration with ATA to introduce computer-based testing to the exam. ATA Generic Application Testing (GAT) technology was used to provide a real environment for candidates to work on the items, test result was then sent to server for human scoring. The examination on March 7 proved to be a success.
