From 2002 to 2007, 58,000 people nationwide (19,500 in Beijing) have passed the national judicial licensure examinations. During the six year period, 190,000 people have participated in the exams.

Ministry of Personnel announced that serious violators in the National Civil Servant Examinations will be barred from retaking the test for five years ETS China announced its test schedules for TOEIC in 2008. The English test (Test of English for International Communication) emphasizing communication ability in international settings has over 100,000 test candidates in China.

Ministry of Education will launch a new test program called IT English Test in the second half of 2008. This will be part of the National Computer Rank Examination (NCRE) and the test result is used for recruitment purpose in IT industry.
