ATA Showcases the Latest E-Testing Products at GET 2015, Driving the Future of Education with Assessment Technology

ATA, a leading provider of advanced testing technologies and testing-related services in China, took part in GET (Global Education Technology) 2015 conference and demonstrated its latest e-testing products on December 4-5, 2015. With global perspectives and being a grand event of the China education community, the conference was held in Zpark Plaza Beijing Hotel with the theme of “Reconstruction • Integration of Technology and Education”. It has brought together more than 1,000 professionals from government, universities and businesses. Apart from 50 TED-style keynote speakers, a total of 40 leading educational companies including ATA and TAL were invited to attend the exhibition, thoroughly covering the industrial chains of B2B, B2C and B2T. In particular, the cloud-based e-testing platform and talent assessment services of ATA have captured the audience’s intense attention.

 

The GET2015 conference aims to encourage innovative education and promote education development in China from a global perspective. It is the first time that China education technologies made its public appearance to the whole world. Many activities were held during the two-day conference: 50 keynote speakers, who are celebrities from listed companies in US and China, presented their TED-style speeches; 40 leading education technology companies were invited to exhibit their products and services. Apart from domestic companies, outstanding education technology companies from US, Brazil, Israel, Japan and South Korea, etc. were also present in the conference; Four heavy-weighted press conferences, including the one on educational procurements in Shenzhen 2016, were successfully organized. In addition, the Blue Book on Education Technology in China 2015, the most comprehensive and professional publication of its kind, was released, introducing the 2015 China online education industry status based on real data of the three education platforms, i.e. BAT (Baidu, Alibaba and Tencent) .

 

Riding on the topic of “Driving the Future of Education with Assessment Technologies”, Ms. Liu Ying, Dean of ATA’s Assessment Technologies Research Institute, delivered a TED-style speech on the morning of December 4, 2015. According to her, the future education landscape will certainly consist of multiple final assessment methods. Assessment technologies will be essential to address the challenges on how to enhance learning efficiency and educational effectiveness. Specifically, technologies such as adaptive testing technology, the technology of constructing knowledge maps based on neural network, the big data hierarchical clustering technology, and pedagogical psychology theory can be integrated to construct adaptive learning scheme and help improve learning efficiencies; while the multiple evaluation mechanisms including academic level, potential thinking capabilities and overall qualities can drive schools to resolve the educational effectiveness issues. Ms. Liu’s 20-minute speech has got excellent response from the audience. Hers and other keynote speakers’ TED-style speeches have been recorded by the conference organizer and will be encompassed in the Open Courses on Education Technologies in China (both in English and Chinese versions).

 

The booth of ATA was frequently crammed during the event. Many education professionals came to inquire about ATA’s e-testing cloud-based platform, as well as the talent assessment and test operation services, and the senior product manager of ATA explained in detail on how these products and services work. With Cambridge YLE, FLTRP and other projects as case studies, the product manager presented how ATA has leveraged e-testing cloud-based platform, talent assessment solution, and other products and services to cater different organizations with various instant test creation, organization and management scenarios; and how ATA has truly applied e-testing assessments to link and serve educators, learners and different organizations.
