On March 22, 2018, the International Symposium on Knowledge and Competency Assessment sponsored by ATA and The Chinese Society of Education was held at Park Hyatt Beijing Hotel.
More than 300 guests from China and other countries attended the symposium, including experts, scholars and industrial leaders in the field of testing and assessment, and members from government departments, industrial societies, enterprises, and institutes of higher learning. Focusing on knowledge and competency assessment, they discussed a broad range of topics on the future development trend of talent assessment, and conducted in-depth communication on the concepts and systems of the education assessment in China and the U.S.
A number of guests delivered keynote speeches on talent assessment in China and other countries; in particular, they gave authoritative interpretation of the designing concepts, technologies and content innovations on the future talent assessment trend, focusing on knowledge, capability and competency assessment. The speakers of ACT from the U.S. shared their core designing and development concepts of how ACT tests assess the students’ knowledge and competency, and the breakthroughs and how the innovations of the upcoming computer-based tests (CBT) improve the impartiality and security of ACT tests.
At the symposium, the launching ceremony of the strategic cooperation between the Chinese Society of Education, ATA and ACT was held.
