The Seventh Conference of the International Test Commission was held  in Hong Kong from July 19-21. This is the first time that ITC held its conference in a non-western nation. Over 400 attendees from national psychological associations, test commissions, publishers and other organizations attended the three day event. The conference focused on The Challenge and Opportunity of Assessment under the Global Economy. Representatives from ATA together with renowned industry leaders presented four papers on topics of using certification exams to meet China’s talent needs, international partnership in meeting assessment needs in China, test security in large-scale testing in China, and the ISO 10667, the new and upcoming standard for certification services providers globally.
