The First 2010 Hong Kong Licensure Examination for Securities and Futures Professionals, sponsored by the Hong Kong Securities Institute (HKSI), was taken place on April 24, 2010 in Guangdong and Shanghai. ATA was the technology and test delivery services provider for this exam.
Under the framework of Mainland and Hong Kong Economic Partnership Arrangement，Hong Kong Licensing Examination for Securities and Futures professionals was held under the arrangement of mutual recognition for the qualifications of securities and futures professionals between Mainland China and Hong Kong determined by China Securities Regulatory Commission(CSRC) and Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission（HKSFC）. Under this arrangement, the mainland securities and futures professionals (Chinese citizens holding a valid license issued by mainland regulatory authority) are eligible to apply for license issued by Hong Kong securities or futures regulatory authorities should they pass the Hong Kong Licensing Examination for Securities and Futures Professionals sponsored by HKSI while meeting other criteria of HKSFC. Mainland executives holding this type of certificates will enjoy the same status as their Hongkong counterparts in looking for executive positions in Hongkong. Ordinary license holders in mainland China also will be treated as being qualified as representatives in Hongkong.
The Second 2010 Hong Kong Licensing Examination for Securities and Futures Professionals will be held on October 24, 2010. Candidates can visit the websites of CSRC or HKSI for exam details.
