ATA Launched HR Screening Product

On March 27, 2009, ATA, the largest professional testing technology and service provider in China, launched “HR-Select”, a comprehensive solution for HR screening and recruitment and the first of its kind in China. The product aims to help companies to reduce cost and increase efficiency and accuracy in talent recruitment.

 

The innovative “HR-Select” helps HR professionals to manage the job applications/resumes processes through automated resume analysis and talents screening by comprehensive testing and assessment tools based on competency models. The development of “HR-Select” was based on a comprehensive survey of 150,000 job requirements covering areas of IT, banking and finance, English proficiency, management skills and legal knowledge. Working in collaboration with industry experts such as ETS and SHL, ATA established a comprehensive assessment system covering 600 job positions with 1000 assessment modules and a large item bank with millions of test items.

 

“ATA is an expert in testing, since its inception, we have been committed to testing and assessment. HR-Select is an assessment tool that will serve the HR screening and recruitment process”, Mr. Walter Wang, ATA President stated in his welcoming speech, he also thanked the assistance and valuable feedback generously given by professional recruitment institutions and websites during the development of the product.

 

Paul Xu, ATA Vice President responsible for the product development and promotion, indicated in his product demonstration: “Manual selection through a vast sea of resumes with no standardized assessment bench mark significantly cuts down the efficiency in today’s HR recruitment, there’s a call for an easy, efficient and accurate assessment tool in the HR community. It is under this background that ATA launched HR-Select, it is not only a product of ATA after years of experiences in assessment and testing, but also a joint effort of domestic and international experts in assessment and testing”. The product combined competency-based testing component of SHL, the world leading assessment product and services provider, and TOEIC, Test of English for International Communications of ETS, to compensate for the inadequacy of assessment tools and standards in HR recruitment.

 

Mr. Christos Mallianos, management consultant of SHL, also spoke at the conference, “I am really excited about the partnership between SHL and ATA, as this partnership combines ATA’s experience in mass testing and up-to-date technology with the science behind SHL tools”, he said, “I believe that the benefits of our tools will be further leveraged by ATA’s testing platform. With ATA’s state of the art technology platform and experience in running large scale testing sessions, and SHL state-of-the art occupational tests, we will work with many HR professionals in different industries and organizations in PRC to help them carry out professional and accurate talent assessment”.

 

Over 300 HR recruiters and representatives from the media participated in the product launch ceremony. Participants also had a chance to try out the product on site to experience the functionalities and convenience the product offers.

 

ATA will launch different promotion sessions in 18 cities across the country in the coming months to systematically introduce the methodologies, functionalities and technical features of the innovative product.
