“HR Selection Awards in Greater China 2017” Award Ceremony Held in Beijing

On January 18, the award ceremony for the “HR Selection Awards In Greater China 2017”, sponsored by ATA, was successfully held at Beijing Wanda Mandarin Hotel.

Present at the ceremony were more than 150 distinguished guests from all walks of life, including Li Linjun, Vice President and Secretary General of the China Certified Tax Agents Association; Chen Lixiang, Director of China Institute for Occupation Research, Peking University; Alex Zhang, President at Asia Division of the Association of Test Publishers (AATP); Ma Xiaofeng, Chairman at ATA; Ding Jianmin, CEO at ATA; Zhao Shuqiu, COO at ATA; Sun Yue, Vice President at ATA; as well as representatives of prize-winning enterprises and institutions.

 

Following a series of processes, including application filing by organizations and expert reviews, seven awards were announced at the ceremony of the HR Selection Awards in Greater China 2017. More than 70 leading enterprises, trade associations and publishing agencies from various industries won their honors.

 

 At the award ceremony, Ma Xiaofeng, Chairman of ATA, and Chen Lixiang, Director of China Institute for Occupation Research, Peking University, delivered speeches on behalf of the sponsor and the instructor respectively, conveying their congratulations to all the award-winning enterprises and organizations, and expressing their respect for the remarkable contributions, innovative explorations and benchmark leading positions achieved by them in the areas of talent assessment, selection and recruitment.

Subsequently, Sun Yue, Vice President at ATA, delivered a keynote speech, sharing with participants the original intention of ATA in sponsoring HR Selection Awards in Greater China, as well as its aspiration to lead and serve the development of China's "talent selection" industry as an independent third party testing and assessment service provider, and introducing ATA's innovative technologies, services and successful projects in helping clients select talents in a science-based and cost-effective manner.

Thereafter, Zhao Yina, Senior Manager of the Human Resources Department at Bank of China (BOC), described the ideas and innovative practices of BOC in talent recruitment and selection, and introduced BOC's innovations and successful experience in organizing and carrying out overseas talent recruitment under its global campus recruitment campaign 2018, and adopting an intelligent interview management system to improve interview efficiency and results.

ATA also invited Mr. Li Linjun, Vice President and Secretary General of the China Certified Tax Agents Association, to attend the award ceremony. Mr. Li gave a comprehensive description of China's efforts to develop talents in the certified tax agents industry, and introduced the three-tier training system in which the China Certified Tax Agents Association, its local branches, CTA firms play a leading role, and a talent development mechanism led by training bases and covering online trainings, established by China Certified Tax Agents Association as an industrial self-disciplinary organization in the recent years. He also described the situation of the CTA Professional Qualification Examinations organized by the China Certified Tax Agents Association and under the guidance and supervision of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the State Administration of Taxation since 2015, as well as the national tax knowledge contest and tax law publicity campaigns on campuses launched in 2017, which not only promoted the social awareness and reputation of the CTA profession, but also andmore importantly, played a positive role in talent reserves of the specialized tax service personnel in the CTA industry, providing enterprises and higher educational institutions with an industry service platform for their talent use and training.

ATA also released a heavyweight "2017 ATA Employment Report - Report on the Employability of University Students in China" at the award ceremony. Based on the data of more than 2 million candidates’ (including certain overseas college graduates) valid samples, the report provides the evaluation results of modules, such as general employment ability (EPI), cognitive ability, workplace English ability, professional competence, personality and workplace behavior style, covering 34 provincial-level administrative regions, more than 500 universities and 12 disciplines, as well as academic levels from junior undergraduates to doctorates. The ATA employability consists of three parts, i.e., basic ability to work, professional skills, and personal psychological characteristics. The findings of the Report will help universities understand the job market and its trends and provide objective data reference and methodological inspiration for enterprises' talent selection and decision-making.
