On May 14, the first National Security Guard Qualification Test was held in four cities in Shanxi province including Xi’an, Yulin, Ankang and Xianyang.A total of 674 candidates from security service companies took part in the test.
Senior government officials responsible for public security and senor management of the security service companies’ including Li Zongshe, deputy director of Order Control Bureau, Wang Jiongmin, deputy director of Security Office, Chen Xiping, political assistant of Shanxi Security Department inspected the test site at Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, they also inspected the other sites in Yulin, Ankang and Xianyang via the central monitoring station. The test was widely reported by local televisions and newspapersincluding SXTV, Xi’an TV, SX Daily, Xi’an Evening Post, Huashang Newspaper and Sanqin Daily.
The computer-based test leveraged on ATA advanced delivery platform, test administration and delivery services, test site monitoring technology and data analysis services, which received high praise from the test sponsor. Test candidates also gave their favorable responses to the computer-based test platform for its convenience and easy-to-use.
Shanxi is the first province to adopt the computer-based test platform in the National Security Guard QualificationTest. The success of the test well proves that computer-based testingfully meets the requirements of the test sponsor and is welcome by the candidates; it is exemplary in similar tests in other provinces.
In an interview with local media, Wang Jiongmin, deputy director of Security Office of Shanxi Security Department, told reporter that Shaanxi try to finish the qualification test and certification process for the 120,000 security guards of the province by the end of the year.
