On May 30th and 31st 2015, China Qualification Examination for Banking Professionals for the first half of 2015 was successfully held in two hundred and twenty four cities across China. The examination which was sponsored by China Banking Association (CBA), implemented by China Bankers Institute (CBI) anddelivered by ATA , received great attention from relevant authorities including The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (hereinafter referred to as MHRSS ), China Banking Regulatory Commission(hereinafter referred to as CBRC) and China Banking Association. ATA not only provided specialized services throughout the examination process including exam registration, organization, delivery, technologies, examination site monitoring and proctoring, but also input huge amounts of man power and resources under the central arrangement and guidance of CBA. In particular, it strengthened the monitoring, inspection and management of conduct and discipline during the examination.

At the end of 2013, MHRSS and CBRC jointly released the Circular on Issuing Provisional Regulations about Banking Professional Certification System and Implementation Measures of Junior Certification Test for Banking Professionals (R. S.B.F [2013] No.101), which decided to include China Qualification Examination for Banking Professionals into the overall planning of national professional certification system. According to the system regulation, the original China banking practitioner certification examination is changed to China Qualification Examination for Banking Professionals and CBA is responsible for implementation of the banking professional certification examination. In the two years after being incorporated into the national professional certification system， the Qualification Examination for Banking Professionals has maintained steady growth. The huge number for examination takers in the first half of 2015 testified to their high recognition of and enthusiastic support for the Qualification Examination for Banking Professionals.

Under the guidance of MHRSS, CBA and CBI plan to launch the intermediary certification examination for China banking professionals in the second half of this year to increase the value of the examination, to enrich the levels of the examination and to provide more scientific support for management of banking executives. Meanwhile, the follow-up training for banking professional examinees, which has been planned for many years, is to be put online this year so as to provide a solid system and platform support for the continuous education of banking professionals.

The certification system led by CBA has developed rapidly since its establishment ten years ago; the regulatory authorities, member units and local associations regard it as an important reform and innovation to improve the qualification of banking professionals and the management of human resources in the banking industry. Thanks to the efforts and support of MHRSS and CBRC, the newly established banking professional certification system will surely play a more important role in training banking professionals and promoting steady and sustainable development of the banking industry in China.
