On September 13 and 14, the Professional-Stage Examination of the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) National Examination 2014 was held successfully in China including Hongkong and Macao Special Administrative Regions. The examination had more than 607,000 registrated candidates nationwide, with a total of 1.62 million tests expected to be delivered. A total of 797 examination sites and 7,341 examination rooms were set up in China including Hongkong and Macao Special Administrative Regions. ATA provided comprehensive computerized examination services for the event for three consecutive years as the “service provider of the CPA National Examination Computerized Examination”.

During the examination period, the Examination Office of the Ministry of Finance set up the General On-duty Room, and each locality set up the On-duty Room to deal with the emergencies and abnormal situation. At the same time, the Examination Office of the Ministry of Finance dispatched several examination inspection groups to check the implementation of the examination at the examination sites.

Chen Yugui, Director of the Examination Office of the Ministry of Finance and Vice president and Secretary General of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA), said,  the examination offices at various levels shall, in accordance with the overall deployment of the Examination Committee of the Ministry of Finance, carefully organize and strictly implement the examination, and strictly guard against and actively deal with various possible emergencies and abnormal situations during the examination period in order to ensure the smooth progress of the examination. The relevant personnel should conscientiously implement the Party’s requirements for mass-line education and practice based on the principles of providing convenience to examinees, serving examinees, respecting examinees, caring for examinees, and constantly improve the management service mechanism and further raise the examination’s scientific and human-based level.

Under the leadership of the Examination Office of the Ministry of Finance and the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA) and the support of local examination offices and local institutes of CPA, ATA summed up the experience from the organization and operation of the examination in the previous two years and made all-out efforts to organize the company’s technical backbones and operation and customer service teams in carrying out a lot of careful preparatory work; further optimized the examination organization processes in each link; implemented and improved various emergency plans and conducted thorough tests and rehearses. During the examination period, ATA arranged up to ten thousand relevant personnel at the examination sites across the country, thus ensuring the smooth progress of the event.

The success of the event has further proven the reliability, stability and leading position of ATA in testing technologies, operational experiences and services, especially in test security. It has also proven the organization and management ability of ATA in each step of the testing process, at detailed level in particular, and tempered ATA’s professional technology and support service teams, thus laying a solid foundation for the future work.
